Inconsistenties

Sometimes, colleagues and i celebrate birthdays here, and we have been mostly pleased with both the quality of the food and service. We do need to plan extra time, though, because it always takes longer than an hour.
Evenings, it's a different story. The staff acts like they don't want to be bothered, and they really don't care about even attempting to help people in the right order. Nor do they offer a bag even when there is a small stack of boxes to be carried out.
However, the treats we've tasted so far have all been wonderful. The mini-lemon cake was perfectly tart, and the frosting was just the right amount of sweet to compliment it. Although, i cannot begin to recall all the cake and cookie items we've tried, we have found them all to be near perfect.
If the stars could be split, i'd give them a 5 for the food, but a 1 or 2 for service. Basic manners would help.

No-go

I went to Bakery on the Hill to check out treats that my friend at work bragged about. I got there and the place wasn't very busy yet I couldn't seem to find a single worker to help me. Finally after looking around for about 5 minutes a guy came to help me and was extremely short and rude to me like I was a burden for being there. I asked him what he liked best and he said "Anything." I decided on a chocolate/chocolate cupcake. I got home, took a bite, and it was hard as a rock! I wasted my gas, time, and money on this place just to get rude customer service and a hard cupcake. :/

VERY disappointed in cupcakes

We tried three types of cupcakes - what a disappointment! Two types cupcakes (white and bacon) were very dry and the third (chocolate) tasted like it came from a mix. All of the frosting flavors were way too sweet - and I usually like sweet! I guess that I will have to keep driving to North Dallas for cupcakes.
