We like this place...!

Maybe it's the home cooking, the friendly staff in good old fashioned jeans or maybe the "good ole' boy' atmosphere. Whatever it is, we always feel good when we're at The Cotton Patch in Cedar Hill. (I keep thinking we'll see Sheriff Andy and Deputy Barney eating here... or Gomer and Mr. Haney... or Mr. & Mrs. Douglas!)

The waiters will always get to you in "just a second", but they mean it and will pour their hearts into serving you. The Monday night Chicken Friend Steak special can't be beat. Their baked squash is wonderful. Their healthy salads are darn good for the price. The salmon is just fine as is the meatloaf and just about anything else you order. And the desserts? Just try 'em all.

Now know that this isn't "five star food". it's home cookin', comfort food. And I feel comfortable when I'm there and a bit uncomfortable (burp) when we leave. It's fairly priced, they love all of us patrons and our community and it just feel like a taste of yesterday.

Yep. We like this place...

Great Service!

We had some errands to run before dinner tonight, and wanted something hot and similar to home cooking. The hostess sat us at a table with Adrian. Wow! Not one time did he call us "guys." He delivered our food quickly, checked often to see if we needed water or coffee, asked about the quality of our food, and just did an outstanding job. The food was good, too. The fish and chips basket was just a tiny touch greasy, but the flavor was excellent and the temperature was perfect. The chicken-fried chicken with corn and black-eyed peas was perfect. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience. We'll ask for Adrian next time :)

Always great at Cotton Patch

My sister and I recently had the opportunity to eat lunch at The Cotton Patch. This restaurant has always been on the top of our list of places to eat. It was no different this time and you never leave hungry. The servings are large, the service is quick, waiters are cordial, and it’s always clean.

I had the fried fish and it was excellent as usual. I even brought some home. My sister ordered the special for the day, chicken and dumplings, and was surprised it didn’t live up to her expectations. We’ve eaten here for many years and plan to go back. This is a favorite spot for a lot of my family and I would highly recommend it.
