David has truly built a gem of a seafood restuarant in Cedar Hill, and he is constantly coming up with new items that are delicious, as well as keeping the favorites. I love the shrimp parmegiana and firecracker shrimp. When we get together for dinner out with family or friends, we head to David's.

The food is always fresh, not cooked in a frozen or microwave pouch then dumped in a dish like many of the chain restaurants are doing. You can order any fish the way you want - fried, grilled, steamed, blackened or broiled. The grilled veggies are wonderful and healthy for you.

Some servers are more attentive than others, so we get the names of the best, and always ask for a table in their section if they are working when we go there.

My family and I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. The food is high quality, there is always a good variety, the staff is friendly, and the owner is amazing. I have been to many pricey restaurants that can't even compare to David's. The ahi tuna is delicious, but my favorite dish is a speical and not available daily(yet), the cheesy jalepeno grits with grilled shrimp, SPECTACULAR!!! I also think they have the best bread pudding around. And, I like that you have a choice between blackened, grilled, or fried on the fish dinners. David puts his heart and soul into this place and knows how to treat customers right. I frequent this restaurant because the food and service are exceptional, and because they make you feel at home. David's gives to the community of Cedar Hill and surrounding areas, and we are lucky to have him here.

We enjoyed our second visit to Davids last night -and it was even better than the first! The place is so very welcoming and clean and friendly - the waitress was attentive but didn't hover and we initiated a couple of quick chats with her. Again they are helpful in suggesting a drink and we chose the crab cake appetizers - hubby said they were the best he had ever had!! He chose the catfish special which he really enjoyed - the fish were plump and crisp on the outside yet moist on the inside - the fries were seasoned well and crisp - ditto for the hushpuppy and he even enjoyed the slaw. I chose the special - shrimp scampi - what a treat - not overly oily - just a wonderful bowl of shrimp and linquine in a light lemon-butter-garlic sauce with fresh mushrooms and tomatoes on top along with some parmesan - yummy!! Hubby couldn't eat all his platter so he has the rest for lunch today - once again we were too full for desert but I'm looking forward to the bread pudding one day soon - I hear it's just wonderful! What a delightful place! We look forward to sharing it with family and friends.

Wonderful lunch experience with our friends today - hubby even got to try a new draft beer he had not heard of - delicious salads and everyone enjoyed their meals - we tasted all around - the seafood enchiladas, the parmesan shrimp and pasta, the fried grouper and the grilled fish - what a delicious lunch!! lovely restaurant and the waitress was just delightful - making suggestions and gently encouraging the bread pudding - who had room?? we were as stuffed as the fish!! Great food - will go back - again and again.

My husband and I ate at Davids a few nights ago and the food was great. I have to admit it had been several years since we had been, probably just as Rockfish went away. At that tiime we were not impressed and the menu was boring. This time there was more to choose from, especially in the fish department. I get really tired of the same old Salmon, Tilapia, or Catfish so it was nice to see other options.

I had grilled scallops which were cooked to perfection. The cole slaw was just great. My husband had the seafood pasta and he would have licked the bowl if it would not have been rude..haha.

The service was good. So glad we tried it again. We'll be back.

Food was good but service was just okay. We went in for a late lunch and only a few tables with customers. We had empty glasses several times.

The fish was good. Would go back.

We just celebrated my husband's 40th with about 80 friends. When it came to catering, David's was a given. Everything we ordered was hot, fresh, and right on time. The flavors and seasoning of each item seemed to be even better than we remembered. Once again, David's was a wonderful part of our magical memories!

David Wilson is a restauranteur. That's more than just an owner or a chef (he is both). What that means is that he knows how to make his customers feel welcome, treat them like family, deliver more than just a meal, and he knows how to wow you with great food at a fair price.

I'm proud to have this level of restaurant in our area and love every dish that he has ever served to me. Be sure to order the soups and appetizers (love the Firecracker Shrimp) and be awed by his chicken dishes and steaks too.
