Quite often we stop by White Rhino on our way from dinner in a Cedar Hill restaurant. We love the friendly staff, especially Kendall, Alicia, and Josh. The coffees are outstanding and the desserts are delectable. Sometimes, it takes me four days to finish the over-sized dessert portions they dish up. Occasionally, we stay for the live music and really enjoy the low-key, relaxed feel of the place. Definitely a huge step above a chain situation, even though we also like one who shall not be named just fine. If you haven't tried White Rhino, stop by soon, you surely will not be disappointed.

I may not be the most qualified reviewer for a coffee house. I don't drink coffee. I like the smell of it. I like it's flavor in my ice creams. But I was never a coffee drinker.

But I go to White Rhino anyway and spend my money...

Maybe it's because I like the "home away from home" atmosphere. Maybe it's the good and positive "energy" I get from those around me there. Maybe it's because it's not a chain and it actually has some personality to it.

I think we go because it's a close by and welcome "escape" to sit, have a cup of hot tea, and catch up on conversation that we just don't seem to have at home. Face to face, comfortable and casual, almost like we're on part of a vacation off in some distant state.
